Just a quick letter from me to YOU

As the founder of The Breath Zone I am so grateful to have spent the past 24 years working in the fitness and wellness industry, first as a celebrity trainer and massage therapist, fitness ambassador etc., then as a wellness consultant, podcast host, and speaker.

Over the years I have been lucky enough to help shape and transform the lives of many Hollywood celebrities, high profile athletes and people from all walks of life mainly from the outside, in.

Ok, I never like talking about myself but if you want to learn more about me and my fitness career check out this video from my pre Breathwork days.

Even when fitness was my main focus I always dabbled in helping some of my clients heal on the inside too as I always knew there was something missing in this one-dimensional approach.

Since discovering Breathwork over 8 years ago and becoming certified as a teacher it was an easy and natural progression to the work I now do with my clients.

Yes, my fitness career was very good to me - I have appeared on the Today Show, Extra, Hollywood Heat, have been featured in the New York Times, Men’s Health, Shape, InStyle, Vogue and many more. I created a fun product called Booty Slide that was licensed as an infomercial and sold a million in sales etc.

Here’s what I’ve learned after working with many celebrities, pro athletes and high net worth individuals, having a rocking body and all that money and fame never heals feeling unhappy and miserable on the inside.

Yet, conversely, if someone has got their “spiritual gangster” rocking and has quieted their monkey mind but can’t walk a flight of steps without feeling like keeling over than that’s a bust as well.

That’s why even before I discovered Breathwork I had spent the last 15 years on my own healing transformation and through this journey, I discovered that the balance of a connected mind, body, and spirit really is the key to living a balanced, healthy and happy life.

In full transparency some of the modalities I have explored for healing and shifting my own internal struggles have included journaling, yoga, talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, anger work, hypnosis, long treks for days in the wilderness to “find myself” etc.

While all of those proved somewhat beneficial none of them were able to offer such immediate sense of peace and release every time and without fail as when I worked with the Breath.

Through Breathwork, I discovered a feeling of complete oneness with heart and spirit and a true release of blocked emotions I still held on so tightly to since childhood.

After months and months of letting go and freeing space inside, I knew this was the next evolution in my work and teachings. I then set out on my own journey of learning everything I could about the the breath not only from an experiential place but from a scientific vantage point as well so I could become the best teacher possible.

I have studied with David Elliot, Dan Brule, and studied the works of Dr. Belisa Vranich, Stan Grof (Founder of Holotropic Breathwork), Leonard Orr (founder of Rebirthing) and Judith Kravitz (founder of Transformational Breath) to ensure I am well versed in many of the conscious circular breath styles that can lead to healing and can create space for growth.

I truly feel that in this fast-paced society, Breathwork is like “a gateway drug” to meditation. So I have also studied all the other style of Breathing as well, such as more meditative styles for grounding and calming as well as more invigorating breath patterns such as the “cooling breath” or “breath of fire”.

I have so many clients that WISH they could meditate but just can’t quiet the “monkey mind” to discover the benefits of that amazing practice, and with Breathwork they have been able to finally turn off their minds and turn on their hearts. And eventually, many of them have found they can now meditate with ease.

Finally, of all the years of work I have done in many different areas of Wellness, Breathwork, whether leading one of my weekly classes here in LA or leading The Breath Zone Breathwork Teacher Training somewhere around the country, this practice is why I get out of bed every morning now!

I’m so excited to be able to combine all three areas of mind, body, and spirit in the work that I do, and through The Breath Zone my mission is to help more people on this planet find the true path to becoming “the boss of their own happy and healthy” on the inside AND the outside one breath, one person, at a time.

Looking forward to meeting you in a class or a teacher training soon!

Warmly and with Deep Breaths,

Rebecca
